Welcome to our latest project reveal: the #AaronRdCraftsmanRemodel! We couldn't be more excited to share the transformation of this beloved family home, which now beautifully balances elegance, functionality, and a touch of modernity.
When our clients first approached us, they were contemplating moving due to their outdated spaces but were held back by their deep love for their home and the current economic climate. After considering their options, they decided to remodel and create the home of their dreams—one that would serve them for years to come. While they initially reached out for material selection guidance, it became clear that a more comprehensive approach was needed. They were struggling to visualize how to reimagine their space, and that's where we came in.
The Journey to a Dream Home
Our process started with a thorough discovery phase, including our signature client questionnaire and collaborative working sessions. We asked them to provide an “A, B, C” list of their must-haves, nice-to-haves, and wildest dreams. Armed with this knowledge, we presented three distinct layout options for their new primary ensuite, laundry room, mudroom, and pool bath/powder room.
The final design was a triumph of creativity and functionality. We connected the existing master bath to the old laundry room, creating a pass-through drop zone off the garage with double-door access to a spacious new laundry room, directly linked to the master suite. The old master closet was converted into a new pool bath with exterior access, while the master bath and walk-in closet were expanded into a serene retreat at the back of the new addition. The result? A modernized home that honors its original style while offering a fresh, functional space for our clients to love for many more years.
Creative Space Planning
Our first major task was to reimagine their primary ensuite, laundry room, mudroom, and pool bath. We provided three layout options, each designed to maximize space, functionality, and the serene feel they wanted for their home. Ultimately, we decided to take the existing master bath and connect it to the old laundry room, creating a pass-through drop zone right off the garage. This drop zone now features double-door access to a spacious new laundry room, conveniently located off the master bedroom.
We also transformed the old master closet into a new pool bath, complete with direct access to the outside pool area—perfect for family and guests. Finally, we added a luxurious new primary bath and walk-in closet at the back of the new addition. Our goal was to modernize the home while preserving its Craftsman style, creating a space that feels both functional and serene.
